Hang Loose Farms' goal is to be a regenerative style farm, starting with our land and growing from there. We absolutely love our animals and are in process of setting up our infrastructure to ensure our soil is healthy which in turn allows for our animals thrive! We want to create an ecosystem for our animals that mimics nature. Exciting things to come! We are also a Arkansas Grown member.
Situated in Tontitown, AR, our longhorns comfortably graze across over 50+ acres of rolling hills and pasture. The soil is nutrient rich, producing hardy grass for lean and tender longhorn beef.
Did you know that red meat can be included as part of a healthy diet? Thanks to Texas Longhorns, today’s health-conscious consumer doesn’t have to avoid tender, juicy steaks. Longhorn beef is leaner than other breeds and is lower in saturated fats. Packed full of flavor, Longhorn beef has less cholesterol and calories than white meat. Including lean beef in a heart-healthy diet can positively impact blood cholesterol levels. Studies have shown that eating lean beef can help increase ‘good’ cholesterol and reduce ‘bad’ cholesterol in people with elevated cholesterol levels.
Beef is the best source of protein, zinc and Vitamin B12 and is the third best source of iron in the food supply. Beef is also a good source of selenium, which may reduce the risk of heart disease and certain types of cancer (such as prostate) as well as enhance the body’s ability to fight infections. That’s definitely good news for carnivores who crave a healthy lifestyle!
Cooking Texas Longhorn beef requires a delicate balance to accentuate its unique flavors while preserving its tenderness. To start, ensure the meat is brought to room temperature before cooking to promote even cooking. Given its lean nature, Texas Longhorn beef benefits from cooking methods that retain moisture, such as grilling, broiling, or pan-searing over medium-high heat. Prioritize minimal seasoning to allow the natural flavors to shine, using simple rubs or marinades that complement rather than overpower the meat. For optimal tenderness, aim for a medium-rare to medium doneness, allowing the beef to reach an internal temperature of 130-135°F (54-57°C) for medium-rare or 140-145°F (60-63°C) for medium. Let the meat rest for a few minutes before slicing to ensure juices redistribute evenly. Whether served as steaks, burgers, or in other dishes, properly cooked Texas Longhorn beef promises a succulent and satisfying dining experience. ENJOY!

We love connecting with nature and having a tangible impact on our environment. Raising these beautiful animals is an incredibly important part of our food eco-system, providing our community a nutritious and delicious food source.
I have had a passion for farming and the great outdoors for as long as I can remember. I have been blessed with the opportunity to now bring this passion to fruition. Our family is thrilled to labor and toil to bring our community this excellent tasting, heart-healthy product. I (Neville) decided to take a risk and step out of my normal "ecosystem" to help establish a regenerative style farm for my local community.
We love our customers, so feel free to drive by and say hello. If I'm out in the field you may even get a farm tour.
